Bubbles
omething Parker now asks for daily is: bubbles. Last Sunday Travis got to join in on the bubble blowing fun while I tried to capture her in bubble popping bliss. I love when Parker gets excited about things. I also love when I get to share these moments with Travis on the weekends.

Three D’s
reamland- I still love watching Parker sleep. Travis & I check in on her every night before we go to bed we always come back to our room and say things like “She is so beautiful!”, “I love her so much!” etc. Disbelief- I seriously cannot believe that at 15 months old I can put Parker’s hair into a ponytail. Where did my little baby go? Doggie- Parker likes to practice her new found walking skills in our courtyard and make canine friends. Here she is pointing to one and exclaiming “Doggie!”.

Spoon & Cup
arker’s favorite thing to do these days is go through our only non-baby proofed cupboard and pull out a plastic spoon & baby food cup. She will walk around pretending to stir and by the end of the day I find about four or more pairs around the house. I love that she finds ways to play with things through her own exploration.
Travis loved this ampersand so much that it inspired him to carve one out of wood, sand, stain & gloss it to perfection. He is so talented and resourceful!

Ferry Ride
signed up to participate in a program our church that pairs a younger woman with a “Golden Girl”. I absolutely love my golden girl! She is in her 70′s but you wouldn’t even know it. She has wonderful ideas for our meet ups, one being a ferry ride into the city. We enjoyed a full morning together as she showed me the ferry building and parts of the city I had yet to see. She knows much of the city’s history and I am always learning new & interesting facts from her. I am so grateful for the opportunity to form a friendship with such a wonderful woman.
We also stopped in the Hyatt to check out the lobby. It was nicely designed but reminded me that Las Vegas takes hotels to a whole new level.

The Fourth
n the short amount of time we have lived here we have made some pretty amazing friends. Some of those friends had a party on the 4th. They are fantastic hosts so naturally the food & company was perfect. We all made our way to a nearby baseball field and the little ones were free to roam around. I thought of my mom a lot that day since it was her birthday. I know my sisters were making her feel special. We missed out on the fireworks to get Parker to bed on time. Last time we kept her up she said in her saddest sweetest little voice “Night night?”. You can only imagine how great we felt as parents. Hope everyone had a wonderful Independence day!
